　　在澳洲UTS(悉尼科技大学)大学读研，同学们可能遇到各种形式的Assignment，也就是作业。作业会根据课程不同有不同的呈现形式。

　　在UTS，常见的作业类型一共有八种，即：Essays、Reports、Literature Reviews、Annotated Bibliographies、Reflective Tasks、Case Studies、Group Work、Group Presentation Skills八类。接下来我们给大家详细讲解Reports(报告)作业形式的具体结构要求。

　　一、课程Assignment：Reports(报告)

　　报告提供了关于正在调查的情况或问题的组织清晰的信息。

　　这些信息可能来自你的经验、你的阅读、你的研究、在实验室或野外进行的实验或测量。

　　二、具体结构要求

　　在不同的专业、不同的学科，专业课程，具体的Reports可能会有不同的结构要求。下面这个报告示例，大家可以作为参考。

　　1.引言：具体介绍问题或者情况的主题以及背景;描述你的目的与目标、调查范围or限制等

　　2.方法：需要分布描述、解释研究如何进行。

　　3.调查结果：显示调查研究结果，以图表等形式呈现。

　　4.讨论：在这部分解释结果的含义即可，具体来说就是分析数据和解释。为什么你认为这些结果会发生，结果意味着什么，这些结果可能对正在讨论的情况有怎样的影响等等。

　　5.结论和建议：简单总结研究目的、结果、发现。也可能包括建议，需要单独列出。

　　6.附录：这里可以包含任何和你的Reports，和你的报告相关但是因为内容太长不能被放在正文中的内容和信息。具体来说，报告附录部分可能会有作为研究的一部分用了的问卷，或者从你的研究中获得的完整数据集。

　　三、UTS大学Reports Assignment中可以通用的语言表达(赶紧收藏，用得到!)

　　1.当你要说明报告的目的时，可以这样表述：

　　The major objective of this study is to examine ….

　　The aim of this report is to investigate the differences between X and Y.

　　This report investigates the usefulness of ….

　　2.当你要承认报告的范围或局限性时，可以这样表述：

　　Several aspects of this topic are outside the scope of this report. Firstly, ….

　　This study only examines ….

　　The report focuses on X but does not include Y.

　　3.当你要描述方法或过程时，可以这样表述：

　　Data for this study were collected using ….

　　The study was conducted in the form of a survey, with data being gathered via ….

　　Experiments were conducted using ….

　　4.报告结果时，可以这样表述：

　　Table 1 shows an overview of ….

　　Figure 1 compares the results of X with the results of Y.

　　The table in Appendix A illustrates some of the main characteristics of ….

　　5.当你想突出重要的、有趣的或令人惊讶的结果时，可以这样表述：

　　The most surprising aspect of the data is ….

　　One striking result to emerge from this study is that ….

　　Interestingly, there were significant differences in respondents’ attitudes towards …

　　6.当你写调查结果摘要时，可以这样表述：

　　These results suggest that ….

　　Overall, these results indicate that ….

　　Together, these results provide important insights into ….

　　7.当写结果说明时，可以这样表述：

　　There are several possible explanations for this result. Firstly, ….

　　This result may be explained by the fact that ….

　　This result is likely due to ….

　　8.注意含义：

　　This finding has important implications for developing ….

　　One of the issues that emerges from these findings is ….

　　These findings may help us to understand ….

　　9.提议或建议写作：

　　Further research should be conducted to investigate ….

　　There are a number of important changes which need to be implemented. Firstly, ….

　　A key policy/strategy priority should be to plan for ….

　　10.写结论：

　　This report has argued that ….

　　This report has discussed the reasons for ….

　　The main goal of the current study was to determine ….
