• Dogs make wonderful pets, because they tend to be friendly and loving.

• use passive voice

• I did a survey to show how many people like dogs as pets.

• A survey was done to show how many people like dogs as pets.

• make the essay do everything

• In this essay, I will explain why so many people like dogs as pets.

• This essay will explain why so many people like dogs as pets.
